Tonda Laigho Wolf

It is with great sadness we announce Tonda Laigho Wolf’s passing away on Monday August 31, 2026. Tonda was 81 years ‘young’, born in Flint MI. She lived her life full as a positive upbeat courageous loving hospitable sister, aunt and friend to many.

She loved her family and friends and their visits and seemed to often have a good joke or a story to share. Tonda was known as one who would say, ‘oh that reminds me of a joke’. She had a memory for jokes and it was rare that you would hear one twice.

Tonda thoroughly loved her Harley Davison trike. For years, she took motorcycle trips across the US with her niece Rhonda or groups of friends. Tonda daily wrote the highlights of her trips so she could reminisce later. In her later years, shorter rides for ice-cream were the norm and beloved.

Tonda loved morning coffee, slow quiet mornings, listening to birds as she nursed her coffee to wake up. She enjoyed her hobby shop and took pride in her mowing and having things look nice in her home and yard: including ditch lilies and favorite peonies.

Most important though was her friendship with her God Jehovah. Sharing the bible’s wonderful hope for life forever here in paradise on earth. It is that hope that sustained her through her health challenges.

Tonda leaves behind her sister Lucretia Michalka, her nieces and nephews: Rhonda (Don), Randy, Shannon, Cricket, Charmaine, Anna, Tabbitha, Raymond, Arthur, Tracy and Dawn; 49 great nieces and nephews; and 6 great great nieces and nephews.

Tonda was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur Peter Wolf Jr and Violet Viola Wolf; sisters Laura Wolf, Cecilia Daniels and Ladonna Wolf and two nieces and nephews, Tonda and Angie.

She was a very special person to many and will be truly missed.

A memorial service will be held 3:00 pm Saturday, September 19, 2026 at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses 425 E. King St, Owosso MI.
